Holly Woytak
Geographic Information Systems Analyst, Fugro
Holly is a Geographic Information System Analyst with Fugro. She received a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Earth Systems Science and Policy at California State University, Monterey Bay, identifying ideal anchoring locations for ships in Monterey Bay, and a Master’s of Science Degree in Geological Oceanography at Moss Landing Marine Laboratories, focusing on underwater sand waves as habitats for fishes and invertebrates in the San Juan Islands, Washington. Holly’s areas of expertise include habitat mapping, marine spatial planning, ocean advocacy, and field hydrography which add value supporting the Seabed 2030 Program and the goals of the United Nations Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development, contributing in-transit bathymetry and advancing partnerships within maritime sectors. Holly also is on the World Ocean Council’s Smart-Oceans Smart-Industries steering committee. She plays an active role in the Deep Ocean Observing Strategy Habitat Mapping Working Group. Holly has also partnered on projects with the Central and Northern Ocean Observing System (CeNCOOS). Holly is very excited to be representing private industry with the Center for Ocean Leadership in a dynamic and evolving ocean science community.
