Dr. Fabrice Veron received his Ph.D. from the Scripps Institution of Oceanography at UC San Diego in 2000. His research interests include small-scale air-sea interactions, waves and turbulence at the ocean surface, and sea spray generation.

Veron joined the University of Delaware in 2002 as an assistant professor (Associate in 2008, Full in 2016). He served as program director for Physical Ocean Science and Engineering from 2010 to 2017, deputy dean of the College of Earth, Ocean, and Environment from 2017-2021, and dean since 2021. The college's portfolio Includes the School of Marine Science and Policy, the Delaware Sea Grant program, and Marine Ops, which operate the UNOLS East Coast van pool, and the 146-foot regional class R/V Sharp.
